Ron Sann

Mr. Sann founded Ratel Investments in 2001 and serves as the primary decision maker for all investments. He has been actively involved in the commercial real estate industry for approximately 25 years.


Ron Sann began his real estate career at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he helped underwrite, manage and syndicate an approximate $500 million commercial real estate loan portfolio consisting primarily of construction loans for office buildings, residential and regional shopping centers. His Chase experience included a period of robust growth for commercial real estate and a sharp downturn in the early 1990’s. Mr. Sann has also worked for Cambridge Management Consulting, a strategy and process re-engineering firm, and Niku Corporation, a software company, where he focused on acquisitions and was part of the team that took the company public.


He holds a BA from UCLA and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Previously, he was on advisory boards for 450 Architects and Evolution Surface Solutions. Mr. Sann's volunteer work includes helping found Duskbusters, a nonprofit that raised funds for the MS Society, Treasurer for the Parent Association of Branson High School, and Chairman of Parents Council for Washington University in St. Louis.
